As a committed community person at heart, it is important for me to stay connected with you at all times. This website has been set up to share my activities, views and initiatives as your local councillor. More importantly, it also allows me to receive feedback and inputs from the well informed and diverse community in the Hills.
The past 3 years have been extremely rewarding and I hope we have been able to meet your expectations in various projects undertaken by us. Together we will continue to take steps towards making our district a front runner in providing facilities, opportunities and support to individuals, families and businesses alike.
It's a delight to be part of the thriving community of the Hills Shire. Every day comes with its own excitement and news and we love every moment of it. Dynamic and enterprising residents of the Hills come up with new ideas, start new businesses, launch new initiatives for social causes and organise cultural festivals all year around and it's my privilege to be part of their lives, joys and challenges.
The word constituency may have a political ring to it, but to me it is no different to the community we live in. We share the same space, facilities and resources.
A happy community makes a happy constituency and it is always my endeavour to participate and help the people who count on me.
You can't imagine a community without relationships, or strong connections. These relationships or connections go beyond interpersonal interactions and touch on the local history and geography. This involves being aware of the past and having a sense of the character and identity of the community. Ideal neighbors take pride in their affiliation.
Residents always look to the trustworthy leaders in thriving neighborhoods for advice and guidance. Local interactions are characterized by a sense of reciprocal obligation and trust.

We live in a diverse, vibrant and progressive community in The Hills Shire and it's great to see community involvement in so many areas - it could be about a new swimming pool, a park or even coming together to celebrate various festivals.
As a councillor, I get the opportunity to meet and interact with many community leaders and work with them. This indeed makes me a community leader as well - a role I have come to understand better over the years. I believe the role of a community leader is not to fix all the community's problems but rather to work together with the community members. Working together fosters team spirit and helps people share accountability. Community leaders mobilize and guide others, facilitate the problem-solving and decision-making processes, and innovate to benefit the community itself.
Sharing every community's special occasions is a privilege and it keeps us connected with their values, aspirations as well as concerns. Much as each small community needs to be treated with respect, we should also encourage intra-community interactions as well. Our interactions with others help form strong social ties with people who are like us, and that is the essence of community.

As a business owner myself, it is my constant endeavor to strongly support regional small businesses. The exciting and ever-changing entrepreneurship landscape in the local community creates jobs and stimulates the economy.
I've also noticed that small businesses are more inventive and come up with novel solutions to local problems.
Strong local economies in the community encourage residents to stay longer in the area, which fosters deeper relationships between neighbors. Overall, a vibrant local economy can improve the health of its residents by reducing commuting times, creating jobs to redistribute resources, and reinvesting money into the area.
Furthermore, local business owners inspire younger residents to dream big and strengthen their employability by serving as role models and sources of employment experience.
